| So you've decided to put on a production of Into the Woods!
If you haven't already, you need to be in contact with
Music Theatre International, the
company that offers Into the Woods to amateur groups. You must get a
contract with them to have legal permission to do the show. Once you have
done this, here are some further resources you may want to check into.
Dodger Theatricals - You can
costume the entire production through this company. They offer for rental
the original Broadway costumes. Even if you do not want to rent costumes,
you can get costume descriptions for the characters by scene.
Tracy Theatre Originals - Get any
special props you need for your production by emailing here.
Seaside Music Theatre -
Another costume place that specializes in MTI shows.
Broadway Costumes - Yet
another costume shop, this site includes pictures of their available
costumes for various shows, including Into the Woods.
Also visit our pictures section to see
pictures from the Broadway and London productions and also other Amateur
productions. You may be able to get ideas from these pictures. You may also
want to visit the store, where you can buy a score
to help your rehearsal pianist/pit pianist with some extra time, and/or buy
a full script to the show among other things that may be useful to you. |
